Oster A5 Turbo vs Classic 76: Summary, & Differences

The biggest difference between these two clippers is that:

– the Oster Turbo A5 is a pet clipper designed for cutting pet hair. If you have pets, you’d want to get this clipper

– the Classic 76 is a clipper designed for cutting human hair. If you plan on cutting human hair, you’d want to get this clipper

The Oster Animal clippers deliver more strokes per minute and have a wider blade sweep (the clipper blade design is different) for faster clipping of animal hair.

Pet hair can be thick, can have double coats, and can be course – so the animal clippers are designed specifically for this type of cutting.

Human hair on the other hand tends to be easier, thinner and softer to cut.

You wouldn’t want to use a human hair clipper on pet hair – the blades, motor and speed of the clippers usually aren’t designed to cut well enough.

Although not designed for human hair, some people have used pet clippers on human hair on the lower speed settings effectively.
