Features

  • A pet dryer with a dual motor
  • Can be used by amateurs or professionals
  • Best suited for light to medium thickness coats as it has good and consistent airflow
  • Has variable speed control – you can control the air speed from a dial on the dryer
  • Tops out at 3.2HP
  • Runs at 120 V
  • Has 2300 watts and 19.2 amps
  • Has a 160 air volume CFM
  • Has a 10 foot air hose and 3 different nozzle tips included
  • Lightweight – weighing 20lbs
  • Capability to wall mount
  • Has a 2 year motor warranty, and lifetime structural warranty

Drawbacks

  • Dryer has no heating element
  • The dryer isn’t cheap
  • For the price, you might expect a higher top end HP around the 4.0HP mark (but the CFM is still quite high)
  • We couldn’t find the specs for the airflow rate/speed of this dryer – it would be interesting to know what they are compared to other similar priced dryers.

Overall

  • Overall, the dryer is extremely high quality and comes with a lifetime structural warranty and 2 year motor warranty (although check the warranty durations and conditions when you purchase). If you are after a really well made and top performing variable air speed pet dryer without a heating element, it’s worth consideration. 1. You don’t want or need a heating element in a high velocity dryer and I have never seen one with it. The air heats up as it goes over the motor so you will get a lot of heat out of it and the hair dries faster because of it. I own this dryer and I have a 4 hp dryer and the Furbo holds up just as well and I prefer it over my 4 hp. I groom a lot of large furry dogs and the Turbo does the job well.
