Wahl Power Grip vs SS-Pro vs KM Animal Clippers: Summary, & Which To Get?
The best way in our opinion to classify and distinguish these clippers from one another is by outlining the motor they each have.
If you want the further ways in which these clippers are different to each other, check out their features below, and the individual reviews.
But, the main differences between them are:
Brushless Motor
Both the KM and KM10 models have brushless motors. A brushless motor has less moving parts and is designed to stay cooler for longer and be better for long term durability. It also has great power. The KM10 and KM models both have Constant Speed Control for power and torque through the whole cut.
POWERDRIVE Motor
The Power Grip and SS-Pro models both have POWERDRIVE motors. These motors are designed for increased power and torque as well as cooler blades and quieter operation over a regular rotary motor. The Power Grip has Constant Speed Control, whilst the SS-Pro does not.
Regular Rotary Motor
The KM2 and KM5 models have regular rotary motors. The KM5 has Constant Speed Control, but the KM2 does not.
Other notable differences between the clippers are:
The number of speeds they have
The maximum and minimum speeds they have
The blade they come with
The shape of the clipper body
The weight and length of the clipper body
The length of the clipper warranty
